The Little Workers of the Sacred Hearts Pro Bono Clinic
The Little Workers of the Sacred Hearts Pro Bono Clinic was founded in 2007 by Physical Therapists, Alexa Stevens and Katie Drummond, who were dedicated to providing service and healing to those who otherwise may go without it. The diabetic eye clinic was also started at the same time by Dr. Dan Finkelstein of the Wilmer Eye Clinic at Johns Hopkins and Sister Deirdre Byrne, POSC.
Grand Opening, September 22, 2007
Humble beginnings
The Daniel Finkelstein MD Charity Eye Clinic is dedicated in the spirit of Saints Lucy and Saint Odilia to maladies of the eye for the poor and indigent or those without health insurance. The clinic is dedicated to Daniel Finkelstein MD, a Wilmer Eye Institute Ophthalmologist, who spent many years teaching the ophthalmology residents in Baltimore.
